In our second year, our goal is to continue building and strengthening the evidence base for domestic and sexual violence programs. Other key goals include: (a) increasing knowledge sharing between service providers and researchers, (b) informing participants about the latest research and practice happening in the state, and (c) providing a forum for researchers and service providers to engage with each other. This conference is co-sponsored by the North Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence, the North Carolina Coalition Against Sexual Assault, the UNCG Program to Advance Community Responses to Violence Against Women, and the UNCG Department of Counseling and Educational Development.

Intended audience: This conference is for professionals from all disciplines whose work addresses domestic and/or sexual violence. We aim to promote dialogue among researchers and practitioners across disciplines and work settings. Participants will include researchers in public and private institutions; administrators and staff in rape crisis centers, other sexual assault programs, and domestic violence agencies and shelters; prevention specialists; and representatives of funding and governmental agencies.
Conference format: This two-day conference will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, breakout workshops, and a poster session. Cost: The cost to attend the conference is $75.00 per person. The fee includes morning coffee and tea, a box lunch, and snacks each day, as well as the reception on Thursday afternoon. A CEU certificate is available for mental health professionals for an additional fee of $15.
Parking: Parking is available on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. The Oakland Avenue Parking Deck is open to visitors. The cost is $2 for the first hour and $1 for each consecutive hour with a maximum of $7 per day/entry.
